Cataract Surgery The patient’s cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a “plastic lens”, using a small incision, no stitch technique.
Glaucoma Surgery Laser surgery for glaucoma is performed when medication is not effective enough, this procedure helps drain fluid out of the eye. Some patients may require glaucoma surgery which involves creating a drainage system for the fluid in the eye. Surgery generally is chosen when medications and lasers were unsuccessful.
Eye Lid Surgery Some people have excess skin or prolapsed fat pads, which fall over the eyelashes. These conditions make lids appear “puffy” or “heavy” and can interfere with vision. Eye lid surgery is surgical intervention that restores the lid to its natural position. When there is visual impairment involved, most insurance companies will pay for the procedure.
Retina Surgery There are several conditions that may require surgery including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration or hole, retinal tears/detachment. Laser surgery, cryotherapy (freezing) or retinal surgery may be required to repair the diseased or damaged retina.
Premium IOLs Premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) are a breakthrough in vision surgery. With this advancement in cataract surgery, premium IOLs offer patients better vision up close, far away and everything in between.
